Rose Petroleum plc

About Us

In 2013, Rose Petroleum plc (previously Vane Minerals plc) an AIM quoted natural resources company, diversified into oil & gas, to add to its existing exploration and mining assets.

In 2016, Rose underwent a strategic review and intends to build a diversified portfolio of assets, both in terms of commodity and geography.

Rose is currently focused on three strategic areas:

Oil & Gas Assets

Rose is focused on the permitting of a 61 sq mile 3D seismic shoot in the Paradox basin in Utah, USA, where it is earning a 75% working interest in approx. 90,000 acres and is targeting the Paradox Clastics. The large resources (Ryder Scott reported: 1.1billion barrels of oil and 2.2 T cubic feet of gas un-risked prospective (recoverable) hydrocarbon resources) and extensive infrastructure in the area supports strong economics even in current market conditions.

Historically the Paradox Basin has been actively exploited by Fidelity Exploration and Production, mainly in the Cane Creek Formation, South-South East of Rose’s Paradox lease blocks. Fidelity has been the most active operator in the Paradox Basin.

Rose believes the optimal strategy to unlock value will be to undertake a 3D seismic shoot for drill target identification, targeting high natural fracturing areas followed by drilling, targeting the interception of the natural fractures which has proven to be very successful for Fidelity in this highly over pressured play.

Natural Resources Assets

Rose has a 100% owned Crushing and Floatation SDA Mill in Mexico, presently toll mining. The plan is to transfer from existing toll milling operations to Joint-Venture partnerships to benefit from the upturn in the Gold price. There is a significant opportunity to increase cash flow to fund exploration (Oil & Gas and hard rock).

Rose continues to hold the Tango base and precious metals project based in Mexico and encompassing 3,954 hectares. A drilling programme has been designed and all permits required to commence drilling have been received.

In addition, Rose has concluded an agreement with Burdett Gold to conduct exploration drilling on its Ardmore copper project in Southwest USA. Exploration work has now commenced.
The bulk of the Group’s uranium assets are held in a 50/50 joint-venture with Anfield Resources Inc, covering property holdings in the breccia pipe district of northern Arizona. Rose also owns 100% of the North Wash project in Utah which contains a resource of uranium and vanadium.

Gypsum Project in Cuba

A newly formed subsidiary, Rose Gypsum Limited, has been set up participate in a competitive and exhaustive tender process to manufacture calcined gypsum, interior panels, ceiling panels, plaster bags and other related gypsum based materials for the construction industry in Cuba.
