LONDON (AFX) - Vane Minerals PLC said it has secured three new exploration permits and two new drilling licences for its uranium mining operations in Arizona, USA.

The company said its Vane Minerals (US) LLC unit will explore three breccia pipe prospects -- Cholla, NCP-7 and CP-14 -- all of which are located in Federal lands in northern Arizona.

It now operates 22 breccia pipe prospects, it said.

Meanwhile, the company said it has been authorised to drill at two of its Arizona breccia pipes and at its North Wash project site in Utah.

Chairman Michael Spriggs said the company is 'very well placed to capitalise on the increasing interest in the uranium and nuclear markets.'
